Re: Why still nobody understands Nietzsche

There are a lot of people who understand Nietzsche, at least claim to. ;)

I've read most of his books twice and I still don't fully understand him. His writing is scattered and vague. I don't feel as though he wanted to be easily understood. He is, after all, addressing an elite portion of society.

I am sorry but I don't really know what you're trying to say in this thread. Try being less vague.

On one hand you say "Why still nobody understands Nietzsche" and then follow that by "Because everybody is too weak to go his own way of truth" which is contradictory. Is there some reason why more people should understand N? Etc.

Then you start talking about how democracy is bad. Well yes, N did write extensively against democracy and Christianity and I think that's easily evident. But how to get rid of democracy is another question entirely. Reading and understanding Nietzsche may make one a free spirit or new philosopher, but there's a huge difference between knowing the path and being on the path. Only decadents understand N as N understood himself. Perhaps our quest should be to mold new Ubermensch, to help put people on the path which we know. That is easier said than done.

This sounds like a cultural movement to spread some crazy idea of N in harmony with Christinianity: freedom and equality and will to power for all! I'll pass thanks.
